You’ve been dreaming about meeting someone special for awhile now. But the idea of actually getting out there and doing it is a bit scary.
I don’t blame you. At their best, first dates are a bit awkward. What do you wear? What do you talk about? What do you do when there’s nothing to talk about?
Whether you are new to the field or have been playing the game for a bit, the goal of dating is to get a second date. You are out there to meet someone you would like to know just a little bit better. That’s it.
When planning a first date, I recommend you got the light and casual route. Skip the dinner, movie and post drinks and settle for something short and sweet.
The truth of it is, most of us know within 20 minutes of meeting someone whether or not we want to see them again. It’s an excellent and unexplainable, blend of chemistry, intuition and first impression. Why drag it out?
Lunch of coffee is a great way to meet someone and determine if you want to try for round two. If not, you’ll be glad you only spent $5 on a latte and not half your weekly pay on symphony tickets.
